Stadium. Cardiff had been forced to play the majority of the game in front of
two lines of Birmingham defence, and both sides struggled to create golden
opportunities. Suddenly the red card
changed the match in the home side's favour, and Cardiff dominated the majority
of the final quarter.
However a sixth
league goal of the season from Scotland striker Kenny Miller put the seal on a
decent weekend for Malky Mackay’s Cardiff City. Having seen Southampton and
West Ham beaten 24 hours earlier, Cardiff closed the gap on the top two to
three points with a typically gutsy performance against 10-man Birmingham.
